Ben began learning about the hospitality industry working in his father's restaurants in Milwaukee, WI. He was initially in the kitchen working as a cook and eventually shifted to the front of house. After studying Philosophy and History in college, Ben continued to work in the hospitality industry
Ben first thought of wine as a possible career after taking a wine course at Boston University on a whim and began to realize the depth of the wine world. Since then, Ben has completed the BU Wine Program, WSET Level III, and is currently pursuing the Advanced Sommelier Certification from the Court of Master Sommelier. Ben works as a Sommelier in Meritage at the Boston Harbor Hotel as well as in L'Espalier.
